How do you put videos on your music video playlist for your ipod?
I have an ipod touch and i want my music videos that i downloaded to appear in the music video playlist instead of under "Videos". I know music videos that you download from iTunes go there but is there a way to put my own videos there?
I already know how to put videos on my iPod. I just want them in a different place.

What video cameras will give you the High Definition quality videos?
I am looking for something not to expensive but not necesarily cheap. I am planning on doing a lot of video projects over the next year and want to use the best possible video recorder that will give me that High Definition resolution and is not to big and bulky. I will be getting my iMac in a few months with Final Cut Express 4 pre-installed. Also, I want a video camera not to complicated to use.
Best available video quality will come from the video captured with the least amount of compression. Currently, that means HDV – which is stored on miniDV tape (or external FireStore hard drives from Focus Enhancements connected using firewire to miniDV tape based camcorders).
Video is part of the equation. Audio is very important, too. If you are not using an external audio capture device (like the field recorders from M-Audio, Zoom, Edirol, Tascam – among many others), then you need a camcorder with a mic jack and manual audio control.
The least expensive DV/HDV camcorders with a mic jack and manual audio control are the Canon HV30 and Sony HDR-HC9. They will connect to your new iMac with a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable if you use the iMac’s Firewire 400 ports… or a 4-pin to 9-pin firewire cable if you use the iMac’s firewire 800 port. Both will work great with your iMac with either iMovieHD or FinalCut.
Both camcorders are also relatively small, however, you should make every effort to not capture video when the camcorder is handheld. Use some sort of stabilizer – tripod, SpiderBrace, steadicam/glidecam system, camera crane… even a chair or table… but not handheld.
As consumer-grade camcorders, their low-light behavior is not very good. The lenses and imaging chips are too small. However, they are much better than less expensive camcorders. Turn on the lights. Learn to use the white balance feature. Use the "Indoor" preset when you are shooting indoors.
All camcorders have "automatic" capabilities. This is a good place to start. As you learn to use your camcorder, you will want the manual settings because they will give you a lot more flexibility.
You do not have to use special "HD" tapes. Sony Premium tapes are around $3 each and can hold 60 minutes of DV or 60 minutes of HDV format video. Do not re-use tapes. They are the long-term archive. Store them in a cool, dry place.
Do not mix DV and HDV on one tape.
Pick a tape manufacturer and stick with it for the life of the camcorder.
Get a head cleaning tape.
Get one (or two) optional rechargeable, high capacity batteries.
Consider a wide angle and tele lens for shot flexibility (Consumer HDV camcorders typically do not have high zoom like standard definition-only camcorders have).
Get a sturdy case (like those from Pelican or SKB) – they will help protect your investment and keep all your stuff together.
Your next investigation activity will be microphones.
Since you seem a bit serious on this, I can’t recommend any consumer flash memory camcorders because while they may have a mic jack, they do not have manual audio control (Canon HF10, HF11, HF100; Sony HDR-CX12). On top of that, anemic AVCHD just compresses way too much as a first step of the capture process.
Video compression = discarded video data = reduced video quality
Consumer hard disc drive (HDD) camcorders have known problems with vibration and high altitude (resulting in not recording video to the hard drive – and a "buffer overflow" error message) and no longer get to my short list because of these issues.
Consumer DVD based camcorders barely make useful doorstops.

What is the best video format to use for posting videos on the internet?
I’m just starting to take video off of my video camera[canon elura 100] and putting it on my computer. I made one 17 minute video but its a 700mb file. I need to make it smaller than that. What is the best type of video format to use or how can I compress this video to make it smaller? Ideally, I’d like to make them small enough so I can post them on the internet for my friends to watch them or putting them on youtube or something.
I like Quicktime. Convert your video to Quicktime if it’s not already. Since you’ve already rendered it into a movie/video go ahead and purchase Quicktime Pro (about $49.95 one time fee) and export your video files using different compressions, etc. Or another Conversion Software that is free is "MPEG Streamclip." Do a Google search for the website. Your file is very large (700MB) for a 17 minute video. You can export it into MP4 (mpeg4) format. YouTube accepts that universal file extension for the web. However, with the mp4 video format, use the H.264 compression (codec) and there are a few other things you need to set, like the bitrate, streaming or downloading, other video settings, audio settings (to decrease your file size even more you can change your stereo audio to "mono" among other things. After you upload your video to video sites on the web they process by compressing it even more into FLV format (flash video) and depending on their compression level, that beautiful video you uploaded can look like "crap" once they show it on the web. I’m putting together some screencast videos to teach people things like this, very soon. You might be able to find some info on what to do by searching the web.
I have a video camera with one long video on it. How do I seperate a part of this video from the rest?
I want to put a Halo 3 movie on Youtube. I’ve recorded the video on my video camera but I had to record it about 53 minutes into the tape because a family video took up the first 50 minutes of the tape. Do you have any suggestions on how I can take a section of the video and put it on Youtube? If I need software please tell me what software I need.
If you recorded 103 minutes of video on a camcorder tape, this is not a miniDV tape based camcorder – it sounds like it is a full sized VHS analog camcorder so there will not be any digital connections.
How would you normally connect the camcorder to a computer? If this has not been done, and my assumption in the first paragraph is correct, then you need to get an analog/digital bridge like
http://pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Dazzle/Family.htm
Connect the camcorder to the A/D bridge with the AV cables that came with the camcorder, then connect the A/D bridge to the computer… and follow the instructions that come with the A/D bridge.

What video software should i use to split a video and upload on youtube?
I have a couple of videos of concerts. I would like to post them on youtube and am looking for a tool to split the video in between the songs. The resulting videos should be for upload on youtube.
I have Magix video Deluxe. But it seems not to be the right tool for this. Is there any Software that is suitable for this?
I share Tipard Video Converter.
It can convert between almost any video fotmats such as wmv,avi,mpg,h.264,3gp,flv,mp4 and so on.
It has fast conversion speed and perfect image/sound quality with the latest code build-in.

It is easy to use and a few clicks are enough.
Instrctions:
Step 0: Free download and install Tipard Video Converter
