Who Are You Making Wine For?

When I make wine I am usually trying to think of someone else. I am trying to make a wine that I believe someone I know will really appreciate. I find this allows me to think more creatively about the wine that I am making. Instead of always focusing on my personal likes and dislikes I have to stretch my thinking and really zero in on what the likes and dislikes of my friends are. It is kind of like a wine making exercise that forces you to think outside of the box. The next time you are going to make a new wine forget about yourself and think of someone close to you. Think of what they like and why they like it and use that thought as inspiration for new wine making recipes.
