So, baby has finally arrived and turned your world upside down. It feels wonderful but this can also be an emotional and exhausting time because there is so much to do and a whole new world of choices to make. Suddenly all your thoughts point towards the future and in particular the future of your child – so much more is at stake now. This is often the point, understandably, at which many people develop a green conscience. New parents have a stake in making the world a better place. There are many ethical and green choices facing the new parent: to breastfeed or not, sustainably sourced wooden toys versus plastic toys, reusable nappies or disposables, conventional baby soaps or natural, and then there are organic baby clothes. The choices are sometimes baffling to the new parent, but buying organic really is a conscientious choice that makes the world better not just for your child, but children the world over. Cheap cotton clothing imported from countries where child labour is common seems an awful contradiction for those who profess to care. Buying ethically sourced, organic baby clothes is definitely a good way to make the world a better place for your child and children across the world.
